Mare'Lora
A world shaped by the Songs of Creation, the sleeping Azae, and the nine Shards of Song.
At the beginning of time, there was The Drift. Within The Drift existed the realms of Atost, Arkadia, Dhaer Shesh, and the Elemental Planes. These realms were all part of one of the many systems that The God Below deemed fit to hold the powers of life and death. Then came the Maravar, an ancient and powerful people, many of whom were regarded as deities throughout much of history before the horrific event known as The Shattering.
A group of these deities allied with other so-called gods from this system to form the world of Mare'Lora, using Teu, one of the two moons of Atost, as the foundation for their creation.
Mare'Lora was brought into existence by these nine deities through an ancient magic known as The Songs of Creation. However, this magic came at a price, for as each deity completed their portion of the song, they were cast into a deep slumber and hidden throughout the world they had crafted as their own eutopia. These deities would come to be known throughout Mare'Lora as The Azae.
Among The Azae were: Maestri, The Panacea, who crafted The Lands of Burgeoning known as Flamel.
Next was Nevermore, The Opalescent Queen, creator of all draconic life within the system and a being hailing from the Elemental Planes. She created Terra Draconum, The Lands of the Scale, as the birthright of her draconic lineage.
The deities of Dhaer Shesh sent three representatives to shape their portions of Mare'Lora.
From The House of the Fox, Tel'Sarash Aral was appointed to create The Endless Wood. This place was known as Run-Ath-Tel-Eath in its creator's native tongue, though its inhabitants would come to call it Holiaen.
The House of the Raven chose Wylint'ess Aul Nelluon to create Run-Ath-Olin, later known as Ondreier, The Lands of Deception, for their chosen people.
There was no better choice for The House of the Owl than I, An Hied Menartu, The Great Arbiter of Knowledge. I crafted Run-Ath-Menartu, known to many as Elynté, a land for those who sought knowledge, truth, and exploration.
From the Elemental Planes, a being known as The Elemental Titan volunteered to participate. From their song came Furum, The Land of Wealth and Thieves.
Next was The Arkinite Master of Arkadia, who created Tersyio, The Lands of Innovation, for those driven to create, invent, and advance civilization.
The next deity chosen was Tel'Faeaow, The Many-Faced, the Maravarian responsible for the creation of Theatrum Mentis, The Theatre of the Mind.
Lastly, Inius, The Lord of Iron, volunteered so that he might have a place where his artificially created people could be forged. This land was called Hammerfall, though the Ironborne who walk its lands know it as The Progenitor's Forge.
