The Northern Hemisphere is governed by the World Government and various Navies. The sky is safer, and more patrolled in Northern Hemisphere, but most of the general populace knows that something in recent years has started to cause a stir. Something in the Southern Hemisphere has been discovered, leading the World Government to go on high alert. Meaning more patrols, frequent searches, and arrests on suspicion of criminal activity.
The Southern Hemisphere is a more self-governed sky. Many warlords and gangs patrol these skies performing their various trades and smuggling. Considered a free land where a person can go to be whatever they want to be if they have the bravery, tact, and quick wits to survive. Most people from this Hemisphere live under the banner of one of the warlords, some charge a general fee while others just require loyalty.
A recent discovery in the Southern Hemisphere has led to infighting between the warlords and gangs. This has led the World Government to start investigating discreetly.
Arkinite is the mineral that's special properties allows the Islands of Arcadia to float. The mineral is currently still being investigated for its properties and applications. Arkinite is the primary component of Arkinite engines used in various ships and freighters. It is also used in various other applications in cities and weaponry.
