Founded long ago by its namesake, Karask Enial, Lesser Demon Lord of Greed, the city is often seen as strange and dangerous.
It is one of the only places on the continent where necromancy is legal and practiced, though it is treated as a heavily regulated spiritual practice.
Karask Enial began as a refuge for Kor-Athans seeking distance from the turmoil of their native plane. Over time, that refuge became one of Patriem’s oldest and most unusual cities, shaped by outsiders, spiritual law, and the lingering influence of its demonic founder.
Necromancy in Karask Enial is not practiced as careless desecration. The Temple of Remembrance guides wayward souls toward peace, while bodies are preserved and transformed into mummified servants of the city.
